Catch-Up (Part 1)

I just came home from another production of "Much Ado About Nothing". There is always different energy for a Sunday matinee, especially when there is a larger proportion of children in the audience and the cast/crew are still zonked from a combination of getting up early and having brunch. (For me, it was Andouille sausage and eggs from Johnny D's.) It has been a while since I last posted. Lately, it was getting to a point in which the default answer to any question was "after the play."

Where to begin (or continue).

The first anniversary was spent in luxury with my wife. Business was almost dead at Stonehedge, so it felt like we were the only guests there. There was something about having the entire staff catering to just us. This was evident in asking whether we were dining in the Left Bank Restaurant so that they will know whether to open the kitchen. Facials. Hot stone massages. Salt scrubs. Sugar rubs. It was about forgetting that our schedules were hectic. It was about forgetting it was a Tuesday and that we had work the next day and rehearsal later in the evening.

Wednesday was the final rehearsal before opening night, so it was a long day since the two of us came from Tyngsboro straight to our jobs. Thursday was a different (and long) story.
