After a draining week at work, I can now sit back and talk about the wonderful experience I had at Baitcon. It was definitely better than a high school reunion. This means something, especially when debating a strange family gathering over being in Hunter, New York with ice cream and debauchery with hammercock and others. (No contest)
My thanks go to tcb for the loan and setup of a rather large tent. It's been a while since I used one for pseudo-camping considering that it was a last-minute plan. It was amazing to play trunk Tetris to stuff all of our stuff into one car for travel. All passengers indulged in 80s music. My shipment of huckleberries arrived a couple of days, so it was possible to make a sorbet but that was Saturday. Some highlights:

* The campgrounds were cold in the evening and hot in the morning. I woke up Saturday and Sunday morning to a humid tent. This threw my sleep schedule out of alignment.
* The stream was as cold as I remembered it with several rock gardens and bare frolicking
* I'm tempted to hook up a regulator for the shower unit such that the temperature can be better controlled. It was either freezing or scalding.
