My mother is turning 50 today. I want to wish her a happy birthday...in person.
This means leaving this afternoon for a plane flight to Miami and returning the following day in time for a seder tomorrow. Note: I'm not Jewish and I'm not employed. Helps to know that I will be getting money back from my tax filing which will pay for this 24-hour endeavor. Just have to remember to bring the cake.
Don't know what to call it. Silly? Stupid? Rash? Cute?
However, I keep having this image of being there for that occassion, if only for a brief time.
