Movie Watcher's Log

2178: "The Italian Job": This was the 2003 version with Mark Walberg rather than the 1969 version with Michael Caine. It was fun just the same. Adventure. Excitement. Comedy. Venice. Mini Coopers. I have a fondness for caper films (hence me being a fan of "Leverage" and "Hustle"). Great ensemble cast, especially Seth Green being geeky Seth Green and Jason Stratham being properly typecasted as the suave adrenaline car/skirt chaser. The only weak spot was the villain. There's phoning it in, and then there's Edward Norton. We get it: you didn't want to be in the film, your lines suck, and your character was one-dimensional. The cars had more depth that he did.
